GOT WATER?

Drink a half gallon to a gallon of water throughout the day.

It will be warming up soon and hydration is very important. Your body (which includes your muscles) is about 70% weight by water. Being properly hydrated is crucial for successful athletic training.

Some of the benefits water provides include: increased energy levels, decreased appetite and improved metabolic function. Water also helps eliminate toxins and wastes, and alleviates fluid retention

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t drink enough water throughout the day. If you are involved in our strength and conditioning program you need MORE water than the recommended 64 fluid ounces.

Work up to drinking at least half gallon to a gallon of water throughout the day. Here are some tips to help:

1. Try not to drink a lot of water in one sitting. Instead, take little sips throughout the day until you’re done, so the liquid has time to absorb into your system.

2. Get a water bottle or jug to keep track of how much water you drink

3. Drink water with every meal

4. Flavor your water with lemon, cucumber, fruit or herbs (ex: mint)  or drink pure sparkling water to make it less boring.

Get drinking!
